I purchased a Living Social coupon last fall for a Wine Tour
at the Holland Marsh Wineries in Newmarket.
I FINALLY got around to using it last Saturday. Myself and 3 of my closest wino girlfriends
embarked on a local adventure. First getting slightly lost on some back dirt
roads then arriving at a beautiful space in the Holland Marsh.
This Winery is fairly new and everything was gleaming and
glossy. Upon arriving we all couldn’t
help but look around everywhere. The wine store was so beautiful with a cute fountain
and relaxing sitting area with Fireplace and of course many bottles of wine for
sale.
We were escorted through to the event space that backed onto
the fields of grapes, an old horse carriage and small pond area perfect for
that special occasion. The room smelled
of fresh wood and I found it completely intoxicating. I fell in love with it
immediately.
We learned about the making of the wine and just couldn’t
wait to get to the drinking part! Our tour ended with a few wines both red and
white and a couple wine infused truffles that I could not resist eating them
all.
The Holland Marsh Winery is a very nice local family
business I would visit again real soon!
